Story of I

It is in the nature of I,
To crave for we;
To twist into knots,
A self no one can see;

To grow evermore haggard,
In the name of a Name;
While for all other eyes,
Trying to stay the same;

The heart’s darkest recess,
Hides a deep love;
A great big tumultuous thing,
As fragile as a dove;

A dire loneliness,
Gives it company;
Drowning love’s song,
With rending cacophony;

And so forever shall I,
Wait in search of we;
With only loneliness,
As company…
